Who we are
Mitra Soufivand is a dedicated mathematics educator with over 20 years of experience in the San Diego Unified School District. She earned her BA in Mathematics from UC San Diego, completed her teaching credential at National University, and received a Master’s in Mathematics Education in 2002. Since 2004, she has shaped young minds at Point Loma High School—guiding students through core and advanced courses with clarity and enthusiasm.
Building on her classroom expertise, Mitra has spent nearly a decade offering personalized, one‑on‑one tutoring in Carmel Valley and online via Zoom. She specializes in:
